Hi, I am Anton. I am a kind, gentle and friendly rescue dog looking for a forever home with a family who will accept me the way I am and give me plenty of time and patience. I am still a bit shy with people, but I love to be around other dogs. They give me confidence and make me feel safe. That’s why I would love to have a doggie friend in my new home. When we are out in the playground with the volunteers my preferred activity is to get toys and hide them from the other dogs. I have a little treasure corner where I keep all of them. I have learnt already to take treats from the volunteers and I am getting braver by the day, but there is still so much more for me to discover and learn and I am ready to do it together with my new family. The volunteers say that I am curious and smart and I am sure we will find many activities we can do.

Let me share a bit about my past as it will explain why I am still a bit shy with people. I was kept with 27 other dogs at a hoarder’s place and we lived under bad conditions, with no possibility to go out, have any stimulation or receive any form of care. One day the veterinary office stepped in and got us all out. Since then we are at the shelter where we are learning to trust and experience for the first time what it means to be cared for. I have taken many little steps forward and I am now ready for a family who is ready to open its heart and home to me and will shower me with love and affection.
