Hi, my name is Winnie, and I’m currently in a foster home in the Netherlands, looking for my forever home. I’m a very sweet and sensitive young rescue dog. I was rescued from the streets in Cyprus, I was very scared. I have a gentle character and can be a little shy at first meeting, but once I have gained enough confidence to trust you, I am a true cuddle bug. I adore my two foster brothers (also my kitty foster brother 😻). I also love sniffing games as well as my favorite stuffed toys. I have already experienced a lot in my life from being abandoned, scarred and hungry living as a stray in Cyprus, to finding caring and loving people at the shelter when I was rescued and now being in a wonderful foster home in the Netherlands. With every step I take I know I am getting closer to my forever home.

It is a journey of learning to build trust and confidence, to trust that I will never be abandoned again and that the only thing that awaits me is love and a family I can call my own. A family who will give me the time and patience to continue on my path, who has an understanding of how scary the unknown can be and who is willing to let me go at my own pace cherishing every step we take together to build the strongest bond of lifelong companions. My foster mom says that I am amazing and that I will be a great friend for all kinds of activities and adventures. We might go to agility class together or we decide to explore the world on our own. I know that I have a lot of love to give and I can’t wait to meet my new family.
