Hi, I am Luna. If you are looking for a best friend in life then don’t look any further as I have a great character and many things to offer: lots of love, loyalty, companionship, shared adventures, fun and a cuddle partner for life. Let’s start with the first and most important point – love. I have been waiting patiently at the shelter for my turn to find a family and during that time I have accumulated a lot of love to share with them. Whether it is people, other dogs or cats, there is more than enough love for all of us, creating a strong bond which will last a lifetime. And this leads nicely to the second point – loyalty and companionship. In my view there is nothing better in life than to know there is someone you can trust and rely on. Someone who is always there for you, no matter what challenges you might face or whether you just have a tough day to get through. I am ready to take on that role and I promise that we will have plenty of good times together when we go on walks and little adventures or just spend time in each other’s company. When it is cuddle time, I will be the first to show up and I am sure there will be many relaxed times that we will spend together on the sofa, sharing warmth and love.

My past hasn’t always been that easy and therefore I lack a bit of confidence when it comes to meeting other dogs. Don’t get me wrong, I am getting on well with them once I know them, but to be honest, who doesn’t like slow introductions when meeting someone new. As a team I am sure we will master it together and it will create an even stronger bond.

There is one more thing I would like to share with you. I was bitten by a sandfly and got Leishmania for which I received treatment and it is now dormant and under control. Leishmania is controllable and non transmittable. It is not life shortening if monitored correctly via blood tests. I do need to take inexpensive medication to make sure that the disease stays dormant and under control. My rescuers are very knowledgeable on this and can guide my family through.
