Hello everyone, I am Buddy. Do you know the saying ‘A dog is a man’s best friend’? Well, I am the perfect example of that. I even got the perfect name. 😉

I have already stolen quite a few hearts here at the shelter. That’s why it came as such a surprise to the helpers here that I had originally ended up in a kill shelter with my friend Tom. Apparently the people we lived with were going to move and there were no dogs allowed in the new home. That’s the official story.

But it seems more likely that I got dumped because of medical reasons. The vet diagnosed me with a heart valve defect. No worries, it’s under control. I do need to take medication for the rest of my life, but if that means that I can continue to spend lots of quality time with my friends, I don’t mind.

I’m still quite active for my age, but my favourite pastime is definitely cuddle time. It’s a skill that I already master very well and with the help of my new family, I will be able to perfect it even further.

I absolutely love spending time with my human friends. I also like my doggy friends, but humans give better cuddles.😊
