Hello everyone, my name is Lief. A short, but sweet name. Literally, because ‘lief’ means ‘love and sweet’ in Dutch. The perfect fit for a real sweetheart like me. 😊

My sweet side also manifests in a different way than just a very loving personality. I have to admit that I have a bit of a sweet tooth. But what can I say? They shouldn’t have made treats so yummy. 

Unfortunately my loving personality couldn’t prevent that I got dumped in someone’s garden by the people I used to live with. Luckily the owner of the home did have a heart for animals. And although she couldn’t keep me, she brought me to the shelter where I would be taken care off while I’m searching for a forever home with people who do appreciate my wonderful personality. 

I needed some time to get used to my new environment, but I quickly made new friends. I’m a social boy who gets along with both people and other dogs. The helpers here at the shelter say that my new family will be very lucky to adopt such an amazing boy like me. And I personally can’t wait to meet those people. 😊
