Hi, I am Skip. I am looking for a golden basket with as much human contact as possible. I adore people and I just can’t get enough cuddles. All the volunteers at the shelter absolutely adore me. It is love at first sight.  If it were up to me, we would spend time together all day long, in the garden or nature, meeting other dogs and people along the way. I can easily make friends with other dogs and I can also be friends with confident cats. I am still young in my heart and I make sure to enjoy every day.

My story is a sad story, but with a wonderful ending, my rescue. The vet contacted the shelter, because my owner had died and sadly his family didn’t want me, so they brought me to the vet to be euthanized, even though I’m only 9 years old and still have so much love to give. At first it was hard to adjust to shelter life when I had a home all my life, but I quickly realised that the volunteers are kind and loving and are trying their best to find me my forever home ❤️

I’m in good health, but Xrays did reveal that I had a previous hip injury that was never corrected. I’m not in pain, but my carers believe that mild exercise would be better for me, no marathon medals needed at my age 😉
