Hi, I’m Betsy. Some of you may remember me. A few years ago I was rescued from a farm where I lived on a chain, and I went looking for my golden basket. I found it! For the past two years I’ve lived in a wonderful home in the Netherlands with a mom who loved me with her whole heart. My neck healed, my heart healed, and I learned what soft cushions, warm blankets and endless cuddles feel like.

Now my mom is very ill. She is terminally ill and can no longer care for me, so I urgently need a foster home or a forever home where I can spend my golden years feeling safe and loved.

I’m 15 now, and I’m still the same soft, gentle girl. My ears have gone quiet, so I won’t hear you call my name, but I’ll always feel your gentle touch and see your smile, and that’s all I need to know I’m loved. I adore people and can never get enough cuddles. I get along well with other dogs, but I’m also happy being your one and only. My arthritis means I’m not fast anymore, but I still enjoy slow, sniffy walks, and most of all I love quiet time close to my people. I don’t need much: a warm bed, a gentle hand, and someone to share my days with.

I know I’m a senior, but I have so much love left to give. Could you open your heart and your home to me? Even a foster home would mean the world right now. 💛
