Hi, I am Kody. How often do you hear someone say that this dog has the potential to be a dream dog? This is exactly what one of the volunteers said about me. With my gentle, loving and undemanding character, I am the perfect companion for all events, at home, on walks or meeting other dogs. I am affectionate, cuddly and I am full of joy. Long walks in nature is something I look forward to, as well as many hours of play, followed by a relaxing time together.

Until I was rescued from a killing station, my life was less joyful. The rescuers from the shelter believe that I once had a home where I was not treated in the best way. I was quite fearful when I first came to the shelter, but now I have blossomed into the wonderful dog that I am today. Loved by all the volunteers and by the other dogs. I fit right in and I am grateful for every minute that we can be together and have some fun.

There is one more thing I would like to share with you. I was bitten by a sandfly and got Leishmania for which I received treatment and it is now dormant and under control. Leishmania is controllable and non transmittable. It is not life shortening if monitored correctly via blood tests. I do need to take inexpensive medication to make sure that the disease stays dormant and under control. My rescuers are very knowledgeable on this and can guide my family through.
